What are the Benefits of Beeswax Candles?

100% Natural Beeswax candles offer some distinct advantages over candles made from other types of materials such as soy or paraffin.

100% Pure Beeswax

We use only clean, lightly filtered, 100% pure beeswax from cappings in our handmade beeswax candles, with no fillers or additives. Its non-toxic properties make it perfect for a clean burning candle and a bright fuel source.

Long Burn Times

Our solid beeswax candles are among the most durable and long-burning candles on the market. They burn brighter, longer, and cleaner than other candles and are often provide better value than paraffin due to extended burn times.

Smoke & Soot Free

Beeswax candles burn brightly and cleanly, releasing virtually no smoke or soot. Choosing clean burning beeswax candles is a great way to keep your home free from smoke and soot often produced by paraffin candles.

Natural Honey Scent

Our beeswax candles naturally emit a rich honey fragrance, which can vary slightly depending on the honey, pollen, and propolis in the beeswax. The scent throw—how the aroma fills a room—can vary based on individual sensitivities and the surrounding environment.

Natural Honey Color

Our beeswax is sourced directly from beekeepers in the northern U.S., where bees gather nectar from raspberries, canola, clover, and wildflowers. The result is a rich golden wax with a natural honey fragrance. We simply reshape what the hardworking bees have created—the color and scent are entirely their work.

Hand-Poured & Made

Each of our beeswax candles is carefully handcrafted. It takes a skilled artisan to ensure every candle is flawless—no air bubbles, crooked wicks, or imperfections. Every candle undergoes a thorough inspection to meet our high standards. We don't have

→ 100% Pure Beeswax

Our candles are made with clean, lightly filtered, 100% pure beeswax sourced from beeswax cappings—completely free of fillers or additives. Beeswax is a non-toxic, bright-burning fuel source, perfect for a clean and natural candle experience.

Proudly made in the USA, our candles feature only 100% cotton wicks, or natural Balsa Wood wicks. Unlike paraffin candles, beeswax is hypoallergenic, making it an excellent choice for those with allergies, sensitivities, or anyone seeking a clean-burning candle for their home.

→  Hand-Poured & Hand-Finished

Every one of our beeswax candles is carefully crafted by hand, with attention to detail ensuring perfection. We meticulously avoid air bubbles, crooked wicks, or any imperfections, inspecting each candle to meet our high standards. If a candle doesn’t pass, it goes straight back into the wax melter—there are no “factory seconds” here.

Unlike some candle makers who ship products straight from the mold, often leaving them uneven or unfinished, we take the time to hand-finish every candle. This dedication ensures our beeswax candles are as visually stunning as they are delightful to burn.

→  Natural Honey Scent

Our beeswax candles emit a naturally rich and luscious honey aroma, with subtle variations influenced by the honey, pollen, and propolis in the wax.

The scent throw—the candle’s ability to disperse its fragrance—may vary depending on the environment and individual sensitivities, offering a uniquely personal aromatic experience.

Natural Honey Color

Sourced directly from northern U.S. beekeepers, our beeswax is crafted by bees that gather nectar from raspberries, canola, clover, and wildflowers. This process naturally creates a stunning golden-yellow wax with a subtle, aromatic honey fragrance. This color can be found unaltered in any of our Natural colored candles.

We honor the bees’ hard work by simply reshaping their creation, preserving the natural color and scent without adding any artificial ingredients. The wax is gently filtered to remove impurities that might affect the flame, ensuring a pure and authentic experience. Our Natural colored candles demonstrate this color—our Ivory colored candles take the same beeswax and filter it multiple times to create a whiter color.

Exceptional Burn Times

Our solid beeswax candles are unmatched in durability and longevity, burning brighter, cleaner, and significantly longer than any other type of candle. While beeswax candles may seem more expensive initially, their extended burn times often make them a better value than paraffin alternatives. Experience the extraordinary burn time of our beeswax candles—you’ll be amazed!

Smoke & Soot-Free

Beeswax candles offer a clean-burning alternative to paraffin candles, which often produce smoke and soot. When burned in a draft-free environment with a properly trimmed wick (1/4″), beeswax candles emit a bright, clean flame with virtually no smoke or soot, keeping your home fresh and clean.

Beeswax and Potential Health Benefits

Negative ions, commonly found near moving water like waterfalls, crashing waves, and during thunderstorms, are thought to promote biochemical reactions that elevate serotonin levels, potentially alleviating depression, reducing stress, and boosting energy.

While the science is still debated and not fully proven, beeswax candles are believed to be natural generators of negative ions, offering a potential health benefit alongside their warm, natural glow.

Naturally Drip-Resistant

Beeswax candles are inherently less likely to drip than other types of candles, thanks to their unique molecular structure and higher melting point. These characteristics enable the wick to burn the wax at an optimal pace, preventing it from spilling outside the wax pool. Maintaining a trimmed wick, using a level burning surface, and ensuring a draft-free environment further enhance their drip-resistant qualities. Unlike paraffin candles, which rely on chemical additives like stearic acid to reduce dripping, beeswax achieves this naturally.

Beeswax “Bloom”

Beeswax bloom is a natural, whitish film that forms on the surface of beeswax over time. It’s caused by the fatty acids in beeswax rising to the surface and crystallizing. Bloom can happen due to changes in temperature, humidity, or air pressure.

Bloom is a sign of quality and authenticity, and some candle lovers appreciate it for its natural, vintage look. However, if you prefer a shinier look, you can remove the bloom by:

  • Polishing: Gently rubbing the candle with a soft, lint-free cloth, nylon sock, or cheesecloth
  • Using heat: Lightly warming the candle with a hair dryer or heat gun, or running the candle under hot water

Bloom will eventually return, but you can repeat the process to keep your candle looking fresh.
