beeswax pellets

The Wax

Our candles are handmade using only pure beeswax collected from local midwest beekeepers. During honey extraction, the wax caps are removed and processed into blocks. Additional filtering of the beeswax is done to ensure maximum purity and optimal burning quality.

beeswax candle color variations

Natural Color Variation

The color of beeswax extracted from honey frames varies from light beige to deep caramel shades. These color differences are influenced by the flowers and plants that bees visit for nectar, which change throughout the seasons and in different locations. While we try to mix our wax to keep the color uniform, natural variations will occur.

Filtering Our Ivory Beeswax

Pure beeswax is actually white in its natural state, contrary to popular belief. The familiar golden color comes from its mixture with pollen and propolis by the bees. When these elements are filtered back out, the result is our Ivory-colored beeswax, which is the basis for any of our colored or scented candles.

candle color dye blocks

Rich, Vibrant Color

Our candles are available in many colors to suit different occasions. We use minute amounts of an eco-safe dyes that complies with the USA's TSCA & the EU's REACH standards. These colorants are completely safe, containing no toxic substances, and none of their components appear on California's Proposition 65 list of cancer-causing substances.

Unique Wicks

We match wick characteristics (style, length, and width) to complement each candle's unique design. We offer both cotton wicks and balsa wood wicks. Wood wicks emit a lovely "crackling" sound as they burn. Many of our candles come in your choice of wick style.. We avoid using wicks with lead or zinc cores..

Fragrance & Scents

Our scented candles feature a diverse range of aromas using either natural essential oils or safe synthetic fragrance oils. To enhance scent retention and duration, we add a touch of coconut oil to our beeswax candles, which helps bind the fragrances effectively. The product description will always have an exact list of ingredients for that candle.
